Estonian Film Critic's Award was handed to Sergei Lavrentyev to forward to Alexey German Jr. for GARPASTUM. Annika Koppel, vice-president of the Estonian Film Critics' Association announced the award.

Head of NETPAC Jury Anchalee Chaiworaporn (Thailand) announced the NETPAC Jury Award to EARTH AND ASHES by Atiq Rahimi.

Herlend Luksepp, Chairman of the Board of Tridens, introduces Scottish Leader Estonian Film Award. Jury members Sergei Lavrentyev and Sven Grünberg agree with every word.

Scottish Leaderi Estonian Film Award went to Hardi Volmer for his film-portrait PÄRNOGRAPHY.

Jury prize for best actor went to Jesper Christensen (Denmark) for his performance in MANSLAUGHTER. Danish Ambassador Kirsten Geelan was on the stage for the second time already as MANSLAUGHTER also won the Don Quijote Award.

Maria Lundqvist, jury's favourite actress with her role in MOTHER OF MINE (Finland/Sweden), is happy for the best actress award as well as for her Estonian mittens.

Honorary Consul of Korea, Priit Maran already knows his way onto the stage - the Audience Award with an antique storm lantern goes to Kim Ki-duk for the second year in a row. Audience favoured his THE BOW.

Grand Prix' for the best Eurasian film SHANGHAI DREAMS (dir. Wang Xiaoshuai) is accepted by Mr. Chen, counselor of Chinese embassy in Tallinn.

Dutch ambassador H.E. Hans Glaubitz hands the festival light over to Canadian ambassador H.E. Claire Poulin.

Producer Artur Talvik and director Peeter Simm present the avant-première of FED UP!, festival's closing film.
