Built in 1961 by the visionary developer of the United Nations complex in New York City, Flemingdon Park started out as a trendy, urban utopia for artists and young professionals living in Toronto. Within a decade it was sold and became subsidised housing, eventually attracting tens of thousands of refugees and new immigrants from around the globe.
